Production
Our Production Process
Willow Bloom was founded with the vision of bringing current trends and a fresh look to a client’s home using beautiful custom drapes, valances, and roman shades. We are a family run, custom window treatments company based in the US. We strive to ensure only the finest product arrives at your door. We manage our own inventory and oversee every aspect of the production process. Managing the entire production process allows us a level of quality assurance you won’t find any place else.
Our designers develop every drape, valance, roman shade, pillow, and ottoman.
We monitor every aspect of the development process, from design, to creating, to testing. All of our products are imagined and designed in our New Jersey studio. All products are proudly handcrafted by our skilled artisans and designed to last a lifetime. We have an increased emphasis on craftsmanship and high-quality materials. Today, we focus heavily on four areas: customer satisfaction, innovating our designs, offering great service to our customers and creating enduring products, our end-goal remains the same: To help our customers live a more functional, beautiful, happy and comfortable life at home.
Quality is our number one priority, and you’ll find it in our exclusive fabric collections and our time-tested manufacturing techniques. It’s in the details of every drape, shade, valance, pillow and ottoman we make, and in how we treat every customer. Our curtains are cut, sewn, and sold in pairs instead of single panels, perfectly matched and equally measured for consistency you won’t find elsewhere. Beautiful window treatments transform the look and feel of your home, creating rooms you look forward to spending time in.
Whether it’s a colorful roman shade or neutral fabric panels, our designs are crafted to live on in your home for years to come. We will always be able to make your views appear uniquely your own, whether your taste is simple and neutral, or bold and bright.
DRAPES
Each and every drape is handmade with precision and quality in our local workroom in New Jersey. Our custom sizing allows you to find a drape that will fit every space.
BLIND-STITCHED HEMS
Blind stitched hems provide a clean tailored look. The sewing process takes the unfinished edge of the fabric and wraps it into a straight line. The fabric is then sewn using a blind-stitch machine. This process conceals the thread on the visible side of the drape leaving no visible stitch on the ends.
POLYESTER THREAD
We use a high-quality polyester thread to perfectly match the fabric. This makes the drapes more custom.
WELT
To reinforce or trim each flat style drape, we hand sew a custom fabric welt cord that creates a smooth ripple at the top for an elegant look. Each ring can then be hand stitched individually to the welt for better and easier install.
HAND STITCHED RINGS
We have the option to individually attach each ring by hand for flat style panels to create an easy install. This allows you to dress your drapes using minimal effort.
BOTTOM WEIGHTS
Weights are placed at all corners of the drapery to ensure an even, luxurious hang.
CAREFULLY MATCHED PATTERNS
Drapery fabric typically comes in 54 to 60 inch widths. The benefit of choosing custom is that several lengths can be joined to create a wider drape. While patterns can present a challenge, our craftsmen take great care to carefully cut and join panels to create a perfect visual match.
4” BUCKRAM HEADINGS
We use a 4” buckram heading on all of our pleated and flat panels. This stiffening agent creates a crisp look that only comes with custom made drapery. The buckram also helps to control and set the folds on your drapery.
DRAPERY HOOKS
We pre-install drapery hooks on all flat panel and pleated drapery. This makes it easier to take the drape out of the box and hang. Drapery hooks can be readjusted to increase / decrease the vertical coverage of the drapery.
LINING OPTIONS
Premium Privacy Lining provides more fullness to the drape while adding some privacy.
Black Out Lining provides a fuller drape, along with a complete no see-through drape. Ideal for rooms and areas where complete darkness is desired.
VALANCES
More formal and traditional than a simple valance, a box-pleated valance hangs straight down over the window, thanks to its stitched pleats. It’s generally attached to the window with an L-shaped rod. Our valances are made using blackout lining to guarantee quality. Providing brackets and all hardware necessary means a simple and easy install.
PILLOWS
Each and every pillow is handmade with edges overlocked and are tapered by approximately 0.5″ on each side to accommodate a professional fit. Hand sewn invisible zippers are used for a seamless, custom look and feel to each pillow. Insert options are 100% synthetic down to avoid allergies and for a soft, even feel.
OTTOMANS
These ottomans look amazing as a floor cushion for extra seating, to use as a foot stool, or side by side in place of a coffee table. They can be placed anywhere and are a great way to fill any empty space. These ottomans will be sure to add an exotic flair to your home. They feature flange seam edges, giving it the custom and finished look, and a removable cover if needed for dry cleaning. Wrapped in 100%polyester flame resistant batting, our ottomans have a firm foam insert to to keep it’s shape over long periods of use.
