Tory Pillow

The national game of Madagascar, Fanorona is played with black and white pieces on a diagonally gridded board. In the 19th century, diviners used the game to predict current and future events. Some would scratch the pattern in dirt, using stones, beans or even berries for pieces. This small-scale printed rendition has the impression of being etched into the weave itself.

22”x 22”, finished size, which is measured from pillow cover center to center (not corner to corner). The edges are tapered by approximately 0.5” on each side to accommodate a professional fit. It perfectly fits a 24”x 24” insert as pictured.

Specifications: All edges are overlocked and covers are made with invisible zippers for closure.
